The laboratories
in the school are equipped with a complete range of up-to-date instruments,
which provide favorable conditions for the analysis and testing
of the structure and properties of different materials as well as
for teaching and training purposes in the material processing.
The school undertakes about 70 research projects annually, including
national research projects, projects supported by different foundations
and cooperative projects entrusted by industry for the development
of new products or technical innovation. It publishes more than
140 papers annually, and has received 19 government awards for research
achievement since 1995.
